Previously, though the data was very good, the look was text intensive and difficult to read, making the reader really work to get through the material. Since the audience is car dealership owners, there was a need to greatly simplify and spread out the content so it could be digested more easily and deliver the major points.
We chose a classic neutral color scheme, helping the color elements to really pop, and chose tasteful pictures in that color range to illustrate every page. The pictures depict successful, happy businesspeople at their phones or computers, much like the employees at the dealership studied, helping support the brand message of ease of use and powerful results.
We interspersed the text, now in two columns, with interesting charts and screen shots that illustrate the results quickly. We added breakout quotes at the top of every page to highlight key points and large page numbers to help readers find the information they want.
