Even in this age of high speed electronic communication, nothing beats the power of beautifully printed text and images. Sadly, good print design based on traditional principles is becoming something of a lost art.
Our design sensibility is rooted in core design rules, but also steeped in a rich brew of influences including living and studying in major cities all over the world, spending thousands of hours in museums, touring in indie rock bands, and sketching and photographing all along the way. This, combined with a decade creating promotional materials for large corporations, offers you a unique design voice based in dollars and cents reality.
Today's printing is all about making every page count. This doesn't mean cramming your message into the smallest possible area; it means making sure every element, even blank space, works towards your message. We choose fonts, color, images, and stock with great care to assure the most powerful presentation of your material.
We'll escort you through every step of the design and production process, from early conception, to writing, to imagery, to color scheme, to design proofs... all the way through to production.
From hand-operated letterpress to high volume 4-color process printing, we've got your back.

A full page print ad for AutoSuccess Magazine, describing a uniquely successful auto dealer technology program for online reputation management.
They are advertising a product intended to tame all the time-consuming and intimidating aspects of managing a dealership’s online reputation, which is a form of word-of-mouth. A conversational direction quickly emerged for the creative, and we went with conversation bubbles as the headline, attesting to the strong viral momentum that has been a big part of this company’s success. The text and bubbles sit on a graduated blue background with the company mascot and recent awards shown with the logo at bottom. As such, the ad leads with customer delight, follows up with ROI-oriented product copy, and finishes with company accolades and title.
Some dealers report generating over 1000 positive, actual customer reviews on places like Yelp and seeing new sizable inbound lead activity driven from ratings sites and social media properties. This company’s reputation precedes them now and makes the sales process easier, showing what is possible also for their clients.
The call to action is a live demo with the Sales Director, whose actual contact information is shown. The 866 number is tracked to this publication to verify ad results independently from publisher.

Two display advertisements for the classified section of Automotive News, depicting the heritage and excitement of the hallowed Vespa brand.
The format doesn’t allow much in the way of color, but luckily Pantone Process Blue is very close to classic Vespa blue.

Two ads for Todd Herfindal’s new album Collective, both of which build off the airy, stargazing (or in this case, cloud gazing) artwork we created for the album.
An animated banner ad for the Amplifier Magazine website, which will rotate on several prominent areas including the home page.

A 1/4 page b/w print ad for The Big Takeover magazine, highlighting the album’s availability and a great recent review.

A show program ad for the Denver Fashion Conference in January 2009, highlighting one of Alan Michael’s gorgeous jackets.
The photo used was a very old one that only existed on a thin paper printout, so it required extensive restoration before being ready to use in this ad.

A full page color ad designed and jointly copywritten for the Hollywood Sign Trust. The ad will appear prominently in this year’s accompanying brochure for the 2008 AFI Film Festival in Los Angeles.
The ad uses a movie-title-oriented headline and tourist-style snapshots to highlight the important role the Trust has in preserving the sign today. The copy also recognizes the prominent people who helped save the sign from imminent collapse in 1978 and invites readers to explore the Trust’s extensive historical website.
