This eight minute video, produced and directed by myself and Tom Bishel, provides a comprehensive look at the country folk artist Allan Frank, whose new album “The Road So Far” is due in May 2009.

The video includes live interviews, b-roll, performance footage, music, and images filmed in just one day at Allan Frank’s home and studio. It is aimed at giving the viewer a look into Allan Frank’s writing process, detailing the production process and highlighting many of his collaborators, demonstrating his performance skill, and setting the music in a compelling visual environment (one that features a lot of thoughtful shots of roads in various rural areas of the country). It was a blast to make and really tells the Allan Frank story effectively.

Allan is including the video on his new album as part of an enhanced CD package, and also offering a short version of it online as a reward for those that sign up for his mailing list. We hope to have a sample here soon for you to enjoy.

Episode 1 of a new video series, featuring pro songwriters here in Los Angeles talking through their process of writing songs. Our first guest is Stefano Capobianco.

The format is breezy and informal, letting viewers see the real person behind the artist’s image. Each video outlines the performer’s career, examines his/her process for creating music, shows some live acoustic performance footage, and passes on tips and tricks for writing great songs.
